Passenger Side Door Locks Not Working

Later on they worked 50 of the time you tried.
Passenger side door locks not working. Assuming it s the front passenger s side door we know that the smart entrance control unit and fuses are good because the rear locks work. If one door doesn t work but others do the problem could be a blown fuse. The windows and the locks are on two separate circuits. If the result of this does not yield any results continue to step 2.
All times tested i could walk to the passenger side and it would work no issue. Replacing the fuse will correct the problem. Also the door locks don t work when the drivers door is open. Isn t that a contradiction in terms.
Upon discovering this i tried to lock and unlock the doors from the passengers side lock switch the passengers side stops working too when the drivers door is open. Follow lead wire to the door lock actuator. It s either the driver s side or the passenger s side. The most likely cause of your problem is the master switch in the drivers door.
Of course it is also possible that the wiring harness between the driver side door and cowl is. This is a cheap and easy fix. When a door ceases to lock and unlock at the press of a button it often means that the door s lock actuator has given up the ghost. Pop the window and door lock switch panel off the door handle.
If any wiring is damaged replace them. I could walk around to the passenger side and they worked just fine. So yesterday my driver side door handle sensors for lock and unlock stopped working. If it s not sending a signal the fob will likely have to be replaced.
2005 2010 hummer h3. This morning the same 50 of the time. And it is the front door right. Again if one door doesn t work but others do the problem could be with the door lock solenoid.
The lock actuator consists of a small electric motor that drives. Replacing it may require removing the car door panel. Once i open the door more than a quarter of the way the locks stop responding. The only part that these two have in common is the master switch.
Remove switch panel and inspect wiring. The solenoid is bad.
